Dog Breed Info

The Otterhound is a good family dog, but he is not as affectionate as other breeds. He gets along well with children and other pets in the house, if they grow together.

The Otter has an excellent sense of smell and will follow that peculiar smell that caught his attention forgetting everything around him. When you go out to walk with him, make sure to use a leash to keep him under control.

This guy is not recommended for apartment living because he becomes very sluggish. It is advisable to have a large patio with a fence so he can exercise. You may leave him outdoors during the day or at night if you provide him with a shelter.
