Dog Breed Info

The Newfoundland is a great dog; very gentle with other animals and people in general. He is very strong, intelligent, peaceful, calm and patient. He is a large dog who tends to move slowly because of its size, and has a powerful and hoarse bark, yet he does not bark frequently.

These dogs are relatively inactive, so he can live peacefully in an apartment or a small patio. Keep in mind that this breed does not like hot weather and will feel better if you provide him with a cool place where to rest and keep quiet.

You should brush the hair of your dog every day or 2 to three times a week to keep it in good condition. You should provide him with plenty of water to drink because they drink water to satiety. He also loves to swim, and he can stay in the water all day long if you let him.
